Who is FraGue Moser-Kindler?

FraGue Moser-Kindler spent decades ignoring 'pick your lane' advice. He graduated as a software engineer and traded screens for dance floors after five years of working in software development. He danced on stages worldwide and choreographed for theatre and films. Now, FraGue shares his experience in books, workshops and seminars. Based in Salzburg, he makes music as Moskin Tribe, works at an advertising agency and teaches 18 Luohan Qigong. Through a unique lens, he explores how AI reshapes the arts, culture and creative industries. Methodically, without unnecessary hype ... and usually with a cup of coffee.

My origin story: from code to choreography

My professional journey began behind a glowing screen. Following the my father’s career choices, I studied software engineering at HTBLA Salzburg and spent four and a half years working as an IT engineer. I used C++, Java, and C#, to develop software for logistics and time management at MECS GmbH. While I realized that a lifetime spent solely with screens was not my calling, the logical, structured framework I developed during those years remains deeply ingrained in me.

Today, I perceive the world through a unique lens: a fusion of creative artistic flow and rigorous, structured logic. This combination allows me to break down complex concepts into clear, step-by-step methodologies.

I didn't want my life to look like this, so I decided to follow another creative calling.

I decided to swap the laptop for sneakers and became a professional b-boy.

A lifetime in movement: dance & martial arts

Movement is my native language. I have spent over 30 years training in multiple movement disciplines. The most important ones are dance and martial arts.

The professional dance evolution

My dance journey began in 1999 at Tanzschule Seifert in Salzburg with traditional ballroom dancing. But the moment I stepped into a breaking (breakdance) class, everything changed. The acrobatics, raw self-expression, and physical challenge of breaking caught me. I switched styles and never looked back. That was in 2001.

After injuring my wrist while learning flares, I had to take a break from floorwork in 2009. So, I also learned hip-hop, house dance, and krumping. This allowed me to perform professionally in renowned urban-theatre productions and tour with dance troupes such as:

  • Nobulus (featured in the production Out of the Shadow, 2007-2011)
  • Hungry Sharks (featured in #fomo, Anthropozän and Hidden in Plain Sight, 2014 – 2017)

My dance family

Throughout my dance journey, I trained, lived and breathed dance with my friends and crewmates. Over the years, the crew’s name changed but the core people around me mostly stayed the same. The crews I represented are:

  • Unknown Artists (my original crew; with members included Frenzy, Bugs Benni, Tobi One Kenobi, Jacker and me. We later joined ranks with the Unknown Ladies and added Yulyah, Vee, Mona and Andy.)
  • Smoking Aces (Bugs Benni, Jacker, Frank, Demuja, Little Rack, Mike Tike and me)
  • M.O.T. – My Own Thing (my current crew: Jacker, Sophiela, Mike Tike, Clumzy, Jul, Max, Cosamia, Spinelli, Fabmaster, Maluka, J-Cool, Knuffelbunt and I. Not all of them are still active members of the crew.)

The martial arts foundation

Long before I started dancing, my discipline was forged on the mats. I began Judo as a teenager, eventually earning my 1st Dan (black belt) and winning youth accolades at the national level. I also became a certified trainer (Übungsleiter) in 1998.

Over the years, I tried kickboxing, wing tsun, and eskrima. Today, I am in a multi-year kung fu teacher-training program at the International Lau Family Hung Kuen Kung Fu Academy in Salzburg. The training runs through 2027.

The author and creative entrepreneur

In 2014, I co-founded the event agency Rookies at Work GmbH alongside Mike Tike and Cosmic. Driven by our passion for breaking, we built Circle Industry into the largest international breaking battle in Austria. We managed high-profile projects, including the Red Bull BC One Austria Cypher and Red Bull Dance Your Style Austria, and expanded into social media marketing and brand advertising.

Eventually, I transitioned from shareholder to a regular employee to prioritize my artistic independence and remain fully present for my young daughter and my wife.

This pivot to fatherhood sparked my writing career. I left touring behind and started writing manuals to help other artists treat their passion as a sustainable career:

  • Dance Smart: A structured collection of 36 basic urban dance concepts and an easy dice game to combining them into an infinite number of complex movements.
  • Performance Skills: An analytical breakdown of the four essential pillars that generate stage presence, complete with practical training drills. This book was co-written with Manuel Pölzl aka Da Bürgermasta.
  • The Dance Business Manual: A comprehensive, step-by-step guide to approaching a dance career from an entrepreneurial perspective.
  • 7 Questions To Ask Every Move: A free 10-page guide introducing improvisational and choreographic variation methods.

Staging stories: film, theatre & music

I believe that storytelling is most powerful when it transcends words. Together with my wife Gerda Moser-Kindler, a musician and composer who runs the solo project Szintra, we made narrative dance short films and theatre pieces. As a freelancer, I had the honour of producing, directing and choreographing for and with multiple solo artist or troupes.

Music

My relationship with rhythm also extends into music production. Or at least trying to produce music. Under the moniker Moskin Tribe, I experiment with neoclassical, ambient, and electronic beats. I also act as the mixing and mastering engineer supporting my wife’s original compositions at Szintra. Listen to my only two releases below.

Building the bridge: qigong & my Salzburg practice

To maintain my physical and mental capabilities after decades of hard (and often unreflective) training, while spending too many hours sitting behind a laptop, I needed a reliable, systematic somatic “maintenance system.”

I tried yoga, pilates, and conventional weight and endurance training. Nothing helped me with my lower back, knee, and shoulder issues. Sometimes the system did not address what I needed; more often, I simply did not feel at home in the movement or the community. This changed when I learned 18 Luohan Qigong from the Shaolin tradition. I felt instantly at home, and addressed what I needed.

Today, I am an ICMAA-certified 18 Luohan Qigong Instructor (7th generation Chan Heung lineage).

I founded and run Yin Yang Arts by FraGue Moser-Kindler | Qigong Salzburg, my German-language platform for local Qigong classes, private sessions and corporate workshops in Salzburg.

If you are located in or around Salzburg, Austria, and want to learn a structured, non-esoteric system for posture, focus, stress regulation, and physical longevity, check it out.

My philosophy: ground yourself in reality

I have always been a “Red Pill” thinker (inspired by The Matrix, not the movement). I value uncomfortable, raw truths far more than comfortable illusions, because I believe that growth, in whichever domain, can only come from understanding.

I believe that life is too short for meaningless work. Spending your prime years earning money for someone else by selling products or services that mean nothing to you is a direct route to a soulless life. We all have something of value to contribute, and with the right strategy, we can build a sustainable livelihood around it.

This pragmatic philosophy influences how I approach art, business, and teaching. I focus on Methodology over Mysticism and Clarity over Esotericism.

And this view also brings me full circle to the beginning of my journey.

Preparing for the future & AI

I follow the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and see the complex challenges AI poses to the nature of work, the job market and the fabric of our society. But pretending AI isn’t here to stay is naive. So I’m looking ahead, scared and thrilled at the same time. Scared because, in my humble opinion, society is not ready for the next industrial revolution. And thrilled, because I will see this unfold in real time.

I am committed to understanding what’s going on and make the best of it. This is not just for myself; I also want to ensure my daughter grows up fully equipped to thrive in the world that lies ahead. Until then, I’d like to help people navigate this transition by explaining it through a lens that bridges art and technology.
